With over 50 years of experience, the LBSA oak sawmill has built its reputation on a clear vision: to offer products that meet the specific requirements of its customers, with one guiding principle: Adaptability.
Established in the 1970s in Viriat, in the Ain region, 70 km north of Lyon, the company has continuously grown and is now a major player in the hardwood sawing industry, employing more than 80 people.
Over the years, LBSA has modernized its production facilities through strategic and ongoing investments. This dynamic approach has enabled the company to strengthen its presence in international markets while maintaining a high level of standards.
Each stage of its development reflects a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Today, the company processes 55,000 m³ of logs per year, sourced from the northeastern quarter of France. It is certified under the “BOIS DE France” label, and the timber is also PEFC-certified, ensuring it comes from sustainably managed forests.

LBSA employs 100% Made in France expertise, from the selection of its raw material—oak—through to the manufacturing of a wide range of finished products for industry and outdoor construction.

Specializing in the production of square-edged boards (which now represents more than 50% of our activity), the company also offers a varied range of products: structural beams/squared pieces (CE certified), boules, waney-edged boards, sleepers, as well as various elements dedicated to landscaping.
Our sawmill has a drying and pre-drying capacity of 2,800 m³, a permanent storage of 12,000 m³, and two independent sawing lines. All of this is supported by a scalable 17-hectare infrastructure, enabling us to efficiently meet your needs in terms of both volume and lead times.
